It is called dyscalcula, and we get it from Grandma, but she is so wonderful we don't hold it against her at all! :-) And of course that makes me the middle-man for my kids who have this problem. Sigh. But now that you mention it Nathan, I have the same problem with numbers and words given to me out loud. Verbal dyslexia? If someone spells something to me I can hardly tell what they are saying, for all my fluency with English. It's like they are merely sounds with no symbolic value. Haha.
