Chris' Grandpa passed away today. He was a good man who I was so lucky to get to meet and spend time with. He was an electrician and after Hiroshima he went in with a number of other good men to re-wire the whole city.  He was 90 years old on October 12, the same day as Chris' 36th birthday and luckily Chris was able to have a good conversation with him that day.
We will miss you Grandpa Thompson.

So sorry for your loss, Chris & Gretchen. What a remarkable generation, such rich stories to share with your little guy. May God give you peace and comfort as you remember and honor a life so well lived.

After my dad passed away in 1970, he was my dad for over 40 years. We played and watched golf together, talked football, basketball and basically solved the worlds problems. I will miss him!

By the way, Chris your 37!
