Blurry pictures are sometimes my favorites. They are usually very unprepared and thought about only in the very last couple of seconds before the picure is taken. Even though they are a pain to look at, they usually can capture a moment that wouldn't have been captured if it were planned for. I love this picture of Chris because he looks like he's amused, relaxed and happy.

At first I wished it were sharper but that would have taken a steady hand and some preperation that would have included me fiddeling with the settings on the camera and then having Chris look over and notice that I needed help in trying to capture the lighting correctly, and then the moment would have been gone.

Well, the blurriness gets you to the spontaneous and impressionistic quality that reminds you of that experience. It's a more of an atmospheric image as opposed to one that depends on detail. Movement is insinuated and felt.

And how about the repeated shape of the striped arm. There is something magnetic about seeing those shapes mimic each other.

Then there's cool and warm colors playing off each other.

That's cool. The beauty of spontaneity! Who says life has to be scripted.

Nathan, there definitely is something about the lights in the background, the blue of the sky that ties in the two blue striped shirts. I really liked the colors in this little blurry picture as well as the lighting.
Thanks for the comment. =)

Now why is the guy next to him wearing the same kind of shirt? Is that a uniform of some sort?

David, actually it was kind of a joke all night that Chris and his friend looked like they were in a barber shop quartet. Is that how quartet is spelled? anyways, it was a wedding and they just showed up that way.
